Grand Court of Connecticut

Order of the Amaranth

Welcome

Welcome to the Grand Court of Connecticut's Website. The Order of the Amaranth is a fraternal, social and charitable organization which endeavors to develop the moral character of its members through the teachings of Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Charity.

The Connecticut Grand Court is now in its 110th year. Our jurisdiction is home to the oldest Amaranth Court in the world - Eliza A. Macoy Court No. 1 - which currently meets in Seymour, Connecticut. Additionally, we have 5 other Subordinate Courts throughout the state.

Our membership is open to female relatives of Master Masons and Master Masons themselves. Also, since 2002, members of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, the International Order of Job's Daughters, Order of Trinagle and Constellation of Jurnior Stars who have been active for at least 3 years, or who have attained majority, are eligible for membership (although such petition must be accompanied by the recommendation of a Master Mason).

Our goals for this year are three-fold:
  • To increase membership in each Court.
  • Increase member participation in Court and Grand Court Activties
  • To promote fellowship within our Order and the Connecticut Masonic family.
We hope you enjoy our website and will visit often for updates on our activities. If you would like information on how to join, or about any of our events, please contact the webmaster.

Fraternally,
Suzanne Dana, Grand Royal Matron
Richard Sawyers, Grand Royal Patron
